(3) in [for, during] the past [last] … years(在過去…年中)：

In the past two years I’ve seen him little. 過去兩年我很少見到他。

I have been here (for) the last [past] month. 最近一個月里我都在這兒。

【注】在一定的上下文里，若是以過去時間為起點，也可用過去完成時。

(4) up to [until] now(到現在為止)：

Up to now, the work has been easy. 到現在為止這工作還算容易。

I have heard nothing from him up to now. 到現在為止我還沒有聽到他一點音信。

(5) It’s [will be] the first time that…(第一次…)：

It’s the first time I’ve come here. 這是我第一次來這兒。

Don’t forget, it’ll be the first time I’ve spoken in public. 別忘了，這是我第一次在公共場合發言。

三、現在完成時與一般過去的區別

現在完成時的已完成用法很容易與一般過去時相混淆，其區別是：前者強調對現在的影響和結果，后者不強調這個影響和結果，而是強調這個動作發生的時間是在過去：

I’ve lived here for ten years. 我在這里住了10年。(現在仍住這兒)

I lived here for ten years. 我在這里住過10年。(現在不住這兒了)

He has bought a house. 他買了一棟房子。(現在已擁有這房子)

He bought a house ten years ago. 他10年前買了一棟房子。(現在是否仍擁有這房子不清楚)

【注】有些副詞或介詞短語(如just, before, recently, in the past等)根據情況，既可與現在完成時連用也可與一般過去時連用。

四、have been to 和have gone to

兩者均可后接地點，前者表示去過某地，通常可與表示次數的狀語連用；后者表示到某地去了，強調說話的當時去某地的人不在場。比較：

He has been to Paris three times. 他去過巴黎三次。

He has gone to Paris. 他去巴黎了。(即現在不在這兒)
