句子的種類(按用途分)

句子按其用途可分為下列四個種類：

一、陳述句(declarative sentence)，用以陳述事實，如：

He came again the next morning. 第二天他又來了。

We had neither money nor food. 我們既無錢又無食品。

You will be the fifth to speak. 你將是第五位發(fā)言人。

That child looks as though it is in pain. 那孩子看起來像是很疼的樣子。

二、疑問句(interrogative sentence)，用以提出問題，如：

Are you free this evening? 你今晚有空嗎?

Did you notice her leaving the house? 你看到她離開這屋子了嗎?

Do you ever go to pop concerts? 你有時去聽流行音樂會嗎?

When are you going to get your hair cut? 你準備什么時候去理發(fā)?

Why haven’t you told me beforehand? 為什么你事前沒告訴我？

三、祈使句(imperative sentence)，用以表示請求、命令等，如：

Do be patient. 一定要有耐心。

Don’t speak so loud. 講話不要這樣大聲。

Be careful not to break anything. 當心別打破什么了。

Please make sure(certain)that the house is properly locked. 請務必把房子鎖好。

四、感嘆句(exclamatory sentence)，用以表示各種強烈的感情，如：

How he worked! 他多么肯干啊!

What an opportunity! 多好的機會啊!
