“of+抽象名詞”的用法說明

“of＋抽象名詞”的用法與形容詞用法相同，在句中可作表語、定語、補語。在抽象名詞(如use, value, help, importance, difference等)前面可用little, some, any, no, great, not much 等修飾；有的可用同根形容詞代替，如：

The work I am doing is not of much value. 我做的工作沒有多大價值。

His speech is of little significance. 他的講話毫不重要。

It is of greatest consequence. 它極為重要。

It’s an invention of great importance. 這是一項非常重要的發明。

Don’t follow the way of least resistance. 不要走最省力氣的路。

I regard this as of great importance. 我認為這個具有重要意義。

The work I am doing is not of much value. 我做的工作沒有什么價值。

The experience gained will be of great value to us. 取得的經驗對我們將很有價值。

The economics of national growth are of the greatest importance to all modern governments. 國民經濟增長的情況對所有現代政府至關重要。
