物質名詞和抽象名詞前何時用或不用冠詞

有這樣一道試題：

此題應選D，容易誤選B，誤認為：snow是物質名詞，其前永遠不用冠詞。

在通常情況下，物質名詞和抽象名詞在表示一般概念(即泛指)時，不用冠詞(即使有描繪性定語修飾也不用冠詞)。但是如果物質名詞和抽象名詞不是表示一般概念，而是表示某一特定內容(尤其是有一限定性定語修飾)時，或當它們表示“一種”、“一場”、“一份”等意思時，則可以加冠詞。試做以下試題：
