一、shall 的用法　　

shall 用作情態動詞，主要用于疑問句中征求對方意見，意為“要不要”“……好嗎”。如：　　

Shall I call a taxi for you? 需要我替你叫一輛出租車嗎？　　

What shall we give the children? 我們給孩子們什么呢? 　　

二、should表示“應該”　　

should 作為情態動詞，主要表示“應該”。如：　　

You should avoid such mistakes. 你應當避免這樣的錯誤。　　

We should teach the children to know good from bad. 我們應教育兒童分辨是非。　　

有時表示“應該”，其實是一種推測，語氣比 may, might 等表推測時要強。如：　　

The book should be interesting. 這本書應該很有趣。　　

三、should后接完成式　　

若用于談論過去的情況，應用“should+have+過去分詞”結構，其意為“可能已經”“本來應該”等。如：　　

The train should have already left. 火車大概已經開走了吧。　　

You are right; I should have thought of that. 你說得對，我應當想到這一點的。　　

You should have reported the matter to the police. 你本應該把這件事報告警察。
