涉及difficult 與 easy 的慣用法

這是一對反義詞，由于其用法較為相似，所以放在一起來分析。

1. 表示做某事很困難（容易），英語通常用 be difficult (easy) to do sth, 注意該結構通常要用it作形式主語，而不直接以人或物作主語。如：

It’s difficult to understand anything he says. 要理解他說的話很困難。

It’s not easy to find a place to park your car. 你要找個停他車的地方不容易。

但是，千萬不要按漢語思維將上面的句子說成：

We are difficult to understand anything he says.

You are not easy to find a place to park your car.

另外，有時it可能不是形式主語，而是形式賓語。如：

He found it easy to earn extra money. 他發現賺點外快很容易。

She found it difficult to answer the question. 她發現回答這個問題很困難。

2. 若be difficult (easy) 之后的不定式與句子主語有動賓關系，則句子可以用人或物作主語，但注意此時該不定式通常只用主動形式表被動意義，而不直接用被動式。如：

This cake is easy to make. 這蛋糕很容易做。

This problem is difficult to solve. 這個問題難解決。

She was difficult to understand at times. 有時候她很不容易理解。

所以當其中的不定式不及物時，要注意加上適當的介詞。如：

She is very easy to get along with. 她很好相處。

Their house isn’t easy to get to. 他們的房子不容易找到。

形容詞 hard 表示“困難的”時，與上面 difficult的用法特點一樣，以上各句中的 difficult 均可用 hard 換之，只是 hard更口語化。

3. 注意以下特殊用法(www.hz123456.com)：

(1) difficult 有時可指人難對付的或難相處的等。如：

He is a difficult child. 他是個頑固的小孩。

He’s a difficult man to work with. 他是個難以共事的人。

(2) easy 可用作副詞，但主要用于某些固定說法中。如：

Take it easy. 不要緊張。

Easy come, easy go. 來得容易，去得快。

Easier said than done. 說說容易，做起來難。
