bed前用介詞和冠詞的習慣問題

請看下面兩個句子：

a. It is a bad habit to read __________ bed.

b. It is a bad habit to read __________ the bed.

A. in, in                B. on, on               C. in, on                D. on, in

此題應選C，容易誤選A，B。關于bed(床)這個詞，要特別注意它與冠詞和介詞連用的情況：

1. 一般說來，表示與“睡覺”這一概念有關時，通常不用冠詞或其他限定詞，反之則用。如：

It is too early for bed. 現在睡覺太早了。

He went to bed at ten last night. 他昨晚10點上床睡覺。

He went to the bed and found a letter on it. 他走到床邊，發現上面放著一封信。

He sat by the bed, watching TV. 他坐在床邊看電視。

2. 與介詞in連用時，習慣上不用冠詞; 而與介詞 on連用時，習慣上要有冠詞。如：

He is still in bed. 他還在睡覺。

He is sick in bed with a cold. 他因感冒而臥床。

There is a box on the bed. 床上有個盒子。

有時兩者都可以用，只是搭配不同而已。如：

躺在床上看書是個壞習慣。

正：It is a bad habit to read in bed.

正：It is a bad habit to read on a [the] bed.

3. 與介詞into, out of 等連用時也通常不用冠詞。如：

He got into bed quickly. 他很快上了床。

He jumped out of bed as soon as he heard thebell. 他一聽到鈴聲就跳下了床。
