due to, because of與owing to的區(qū)別

三者均可表示“由于”、“因?yàn)椤保�按照傳統(tǒng)語法：due to 主要引導(dǎo)表語，而 because of, owing to 兩者都主要引導(dǎo)狀語。如：

His illness is due to bad food. 他生病是由于吃了不好的食物。

The accident was due to careless driving. 這次車禍起因于駕駛疏忽。

He can’t come because of the bad weather. 他不能來是因?yàn)樘鞖獠缓谩?/SPAN>

Owing to the rain, the match was cancelled. 比賽因雨被取消了。

但是在現(xiàn)代英語中，due to 也可用來引導(dǎo)狀語，而 owing to 也可以用來引導(dǎo)表語。如：

由于交通擁擠他遲到了。

正：He was late due to [owing to, because of] the very heavy traffic.

正：Due to [Owing to, Because of] the very heavy traffic, he was late.

because of 通常只用來引導(dǎo)狀語，若引導(dǎo)表語，主語通常應(yīng)為代詞。如：

It is all because of what you said. 那完全是因?yàn)槟阏f的話。
