virus 本指導致人或動物等生病的“病毒”，在計算機語言中指影響計算機正常工作甚至導致計算機癱瘓的“病毒”。如：

The virus will disable your computer. 該病毒會使計算機癱瘓。

They’ve developed a new method of testing for the virus. 他們研究出一種測定這種病毒的新方法。

A virus checker is available as an optional extra for your computer. 可為計算機選擇安裝額外的查毒軟件。

Companies are increasingly worried by the threat of hacking and computer viruses. 各公司越來越擔心黑客和計算機病毒的威脅。

31. website

website 為計算機專用語，意思是“網站”“網址”。如：

A search found 46 websites. 上網一查就找到了46個網址。

To find out more, visit our website. 若需了解更多情況，請訪問我們的網站。

The hotel didn’t match up to the description on the website. 這家旅館遠不像網上描述的那么好。

32. window

window本指房屋等的“窗戶”，在計算機語言中指“窗口”。如：

Click on the window to make it active. 單擊窗口將其激活。

The menu bar with its windows is one of the features of the desktop. 具有菜單欄及窗口是桌面的特色之一。
