不定冠詞可用于復(fù)數(shù)名詞前的兩種情況

(1) 用于“不定冠詞+形容詞+復(fù)形抽象名詞”結(jié)構(gòu)，這結(jié)構(gòu)多用于表示時間、距離、金錢等，如a full six hours（足足6小時）、a busy two weeks（忙碌的兩星期）、a good two miles（足足兩英里）、a good five dollars（整整5美元）等。如：

I’ve had a busy two weeks. 我忙了兩個星期。

It’s a good three miles to the station. 離車站至少3英里。

Her dress was a full three inches above the knee. 她的連衣裙下擺離膝蓋整整3英寸。

(2) 用于某些習(xí)語中，如a few, a great many等。如：

There were a good few copies sold on the first day. 第一天就賣了許多本。

注意：有些名詞雖然帶有復(fù)數(shù)詞尾，但它們本身可以用作單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，此時自然可在其前使用不定冠詞。如：

We came to a crossroads. 我們來到了十字路口。

This is a means to an end. 這是達(dá)到目的的一種手段。
