所給答案為B。　　　　

從以上四個(gè)句子可以看出：前三個(gè)句子都認(rèn)為catch fires是正確的搭配，而最后一個(gè)句子卻認(rèn)為catch fires是不正確的搭配。 筆者認(rèn)為catch fire已經(jīng)成為習(xí)慣用語或成語(idiom)，有兩個(gè)意思：　　

①著火，開始燃燒 to begin to burn(多數(shù)詞典僅收錄這一含義)　　

②激動(dòng)，異常興奮 to become excited。而fires 作為“多次火災(zāi)”解不能與catch 搭配使用。　　　　

首先，下列詞典把 catch fire 當(dāng)作習(xí)慣用語(idiom)：
