than any other 后接名詞用單數還是復數

China is bigger than any countries in Africa.

China is bigger than any other country in Asia.

為什么 一個是復數的，一個是單數的？

■than any 后接可數名詞通常用單數。如：

但后接復數也是完全可能的。如：
