表對比或轉(zhuǎn)折的并列連詞

英語中表示意思轉(zhuǎn)折或?qū)Ρ鹊?/SPAN>并列連詞主要有but和yet兩個(gè)。

并列連詞 but 意為“但”“但是”“卻”。如：

He looked around but could see nobody. 他向四周望望，卻沒看見什么人。

I know of the town but I’ve never been there. 我知道有這座城市，但從未去過。

I like mushrooms but unfortunately they don’t agree with me. 我喜歡吃蘑菇, 可惜吃了難受。

并列連詞 yet 也表示“但是”“卻”，與并列連詞 but 用法相似，有時(shí)可換。如：

It is strange yet true. 這很奇怪，卻是真實(shí)的。

He was poor, yet happy. 他很窮，可是很快樂。

I have failed, yet I shall try again. 我失敗了，但我還要嘗試。

He said he was our friend, yet he wouldn’t help us. 他說他是我們的朋友，但卻不肯幫助我們。
