content, contented, satisfied的區別

content, contented, satisfied這三個詞的共同意思是“滿足的，滿意的”，其區別是：

1. content 表示“甘心的，甘愿的”；contented指安于現狀已無他求，有“知足”的意味；satisfied表示某事完全滿足了個人的欲望需要或要求，有積極愉快的意味在內。

2. content多用作表語，后面可接不定式；contented可用作表語或定語；satisfied多用作表語，很少作定語。

請看例句：

Now that she has apologized, I am content. 既然她已經道了歉，我也就滿意了。

I am very much content with my life at present. 我對目前的生活心滿意足。

She is quite content to live at home with her parents. 她十分滿足于和她的父母住在家里。

A contented person does not create progress. 滿足的人不能進步。

Tom was a lazy boy. He just passed the exam and was contented with the marks he got. 湯姆是個懶家伙,他只滿足于考試的分數剛好通過。

We are satisfied with the smoothness of the negotiation. 我們對談判的順利進行很滿意。
