6. It is said (reported, believed, agreed, announced, hoped, expected, thought...) that句式　　

該句型中的it 仍是形式主語，真正主語是that 引導的主語從句。該結構常譯為“據說（據報道，人們相信……）”。 　　

It is said that he has gone to Los Angles. 　　

It is reported that another earth satellite has been sent into orbit.　　

7. It is suggested (ordered, recommended, required...) that句式　　

該句式跟上一個同屬一種類型。主句中的過去分詞表示請求，建議，命令等含義，that后的從句要用虛擬語氣（should + 動詞原形），should 可以省略。常譯為“據建議（有命令說……）　　

It is suggested that the meeting ( should ) be put off till next Friday. 　　　

It was ordered that the soldiers (should) arrive there in two hours. 　　　

8. It is a pity (a shame, a fact, a wonder, a pleasure...) that句式　　

該句式中，如果表示出乎意料，常譯為“竟然”，that從句也用虛擬語氣（should + 動詞原形）。若沒有這種意義時，則不用虛擬語氣。　　

It is a pity that such a thing should happen in your class. 這種事竟然發生在你們班上，真是遺憾！ 　　

It is a pity that he is ill. 他生病了，真遺憾！ 　　　

9. It is time (about time, high time) that句式　　

該句式中，that 后的從句用虛擬語氣：可以使用一般過去時態, 有時也用should + 動詞原形。常譯為“該是…的時候了”，意味著時間有些晚了。　　

It is time that children went to bed. 　　

It is high time we began to work on the painting.　　

It is about time that we should have our lunch.　　

10. It is the first (second...) time that句式　　

該句式要跟上一個句型區別開來。該句型中的 that 從句不用虛擬語氣，而是用完成時態。主句的謂語動詞如果是一般現在時，后面從句就用現在完成時；如果是一般過去時，后面從句則用過去完成時。該結構中 that 可以省去；it有時用 this 替換。常譯為“這是第一（二）次……”。

11. It is...since 句式　　

該句式主要用于表達非延續動詞和一段時間連用的問題。It is 之后是一段時間，時態是一般現在時（有時可以是現在完成時），since 引導的從句通常是一般過去時態，而且是瞬間動詞。　　

It is five years since my older brother joined the army. 　　

It has been a long time since we departed last time.　　　

12. It is ...when句式　　

該句式中的 when 引導一個時間狀語從句，主句中的 it 是代詞指時間，表語由具體的時間充當。常譯為“當……的時候，時間是……”。
