8. 幾個易誤解的短語：

(1) a good few：其意思不是“很少”“相當少”，而是“不少”“相當多”，強調數量多。如：

You will have to wait a good few weeks. 你得等上好幾個星期。

We had a good few letters this morning. 我們今天早上收到好多信。

(2) not a few：其意思不是“很少”“相當少”，而是“不少”“相當多”，強調數量多。如：

Not a few of my friends are vegetarian. 我朋友中不少人吃素。

There were hundreds of protestors, not a few of whom were women. 有數百名抗議者，其中相當一部分為婦女。

(3) quite a few：其意思不是“很少”“相當少”，而是“不少”“相當多”，強調數量多。如：

Quite a few people went to the game. 相當多人去觀看了球賽。

We’ve got quite a few friends in the village. 我們在村子里有相當多的朋友。

(4) no fewer than：其意為“多達”“至少”“不少于”，主要用于強調數目之多或為了給人以深刻的印象，與as many as的意思相似。如：

There were no fewer than a hundred cars there. 那里的汽車不少于100輛。

There are no fewer than 100 different species in the area. 這個地區的物不會少于100種。
