exist的語法特點和句式搭配

一、語法特點

表示“存在”“有”“活著”，通常只用作不及物動詞，因此沒有被動語態，且通常不用于進行時。如：

Problems also exist in agriculture. 農業中也存在問題。

No such a person ever existed. 過去從來沒有過這樣的人。

二、句式搭配

1. 可與 there 連用構成 There exist…句式。如：

There existed different opinions on this problem. 對這個問題曾有不同看法。

There always exists a force of attraction between two bodies. 兩個物體之間永遠存在著吸引力。

2. 表示“靠……生活”，其后通常接介詞 on。如：

He exists on rice and water. 他靠吃米飯和喝水過活。

I can hardly exist on the wage I’m getting. 我掙的工資簡直難以糊口。
