find out后面可接哪些成分

其基本義為“打聽”“了解”“查明”等，可以用于以下結(jié)構(gòu)：

(1) 后接名詞

We must find out the truth of the matter. 我們必須查明事實真相。

Can you find out his address for me? 你能幫我打聽一下他的地址嗎?

(2) 后接about引起的短語

How on earth did you find out about it? 你到底是怎么發(fā)現(xiàn)它的呢?

Could you find out about the trains to Paris? 你能否打聽一下去巴黎的火車的情況?

(3) 后接 what, where, how 等引起的從句

I must find out what’s going on. 我必須弄清楚是怎么一回事。

We’re trying to find out where she lives. 我們正在打聽她住在哪里。

(4) 后接what, where, how 等引起的不定式短語

I found out where to buy fruit cheaply. 我找到了買便宜水果的地方。

He is determined to find out who is to blame. 他決心要查出誰該負責。

(5) 后接 that 引起的從句

I found out from him that he knew the subject thoroughly. 我從他那里了解到他對這些學科很有研究。

How did you find out that Paul was going to be promoted? 你怎么打聽到保羅將要被提升?

(6) 單獨使用，其后不接賓語

I’ll call her up and find out. 我將給她打電話了解一下。

另外，find out還可表示“發(fā)現(xiàn)”（多指壞事），其后可接可數(shù)名詞、代詞、that從句，或不接任何成分。如：

He is safe to find it out some time. 什么時候他一定會發(fā)現(xiàn)此事。

I’m finding out that they are all wrong. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)他們?nèi)�錯了。

You should tell her, because she’ll find out sooner or later. 他應該告訴她，因為她遲早會發(fā)覺的。
