3. 主語+不及物動詞+ for + there to be 型

該類型與“主語+ wait for sb. to do”結構相似：wait是不及物動詞，“for there to be”等于for sb. to do，there代替sb.充當不定式的邏輯主語，for there to be視為動詞不定式的復合結構，作目的狀語。例如：

They planned for there to be a meeting on Monday. 他們計劃周一開會。

Jill is waiting for there to be a big party. 吉爾等著舉行一次盛大的晚會。

We hope for there to be no wars and killings in the world. 我們希望世界上沒有戰爭和殺戮。

The secretary arranged for there to be another interview. 秘書另外安排了一次會談。

He has called for there to be better communication between referees and players. 他要求裁判和球員之間有更好的溝通。

4. 用于其他結構中的for there to be：

Our hope is for there to be a peaceful world.  我們希望世界和平。（for there to be...作表語）

It was too late for there to be any open shops. 時間太晚了，不會有營業的商店了。（for there to be...作結果狀語）

The components of most double stars are close enough for there to be strong gravitational attraction between them.  大多數雙星的子星都很靠近，所以它們之間存在很強的萬有引力。（for there to be...作結果狀語）

For there to be profit in a deal, there must be two elements: a bargain and change. 一樁交易要獲得盈利，必須具備兩個條件：一是廉價，二是有變化。（for there to be...作目的狀語，相當于含有邏輯主語的不定式放在句首）

For there to be successful communication, there must be attentiveness and involvement in the discussion itself by all present. 為了進行成功的交流，所有參加討論的人都必須認真傾聽，熱情參與。（for there to be...作目的狀語，相當于含有邏輯主語的不定式放在句首）

In order for there to be peace, our plan requires an international response. 為了有和平，我們的計劃需要國際的回應。（In order for there to be...作目的狀語，相當于含有邏輯主語的不定式放在句首）

We talked about the need for there to be peaceful resolutions of conflicts. 為了取得和平解決沖突的辦法，我們商談了有關必要性。（for there to be...作目的狀語，相當于含有邏輯主語的不定式放在句末）

二、“There be結構”的動名詞形式：there being

“There be結構”的動名詞形式為there being。它可以作句子的主語，作及物動詞的賓語和介詞的賓語。這時，there充當了動名詞的邏輯主語。例如：

1. 句子主語

There being a public bus service is a great convenience to people’s life. 有了公交車對人們生活十分方便。

There being some suspicion between us made me anxious. 我們之間有了猜疑讓我焦慮不安。

The prison is heavily guarded. There being no hope of escape is certain. 監獄被嚴密看守。沒有希望逃脫是肯定的。

【注意】現實語言中，“There be結構”的動名詞形式用作主語，不是十分常見。
