包括先行詞與關(guān)系詞的詞——what

有些從句中的“引導(dǎo)詞”既包括有先行詞也包括有關(guān)系詞。如：

What he saw gave him a little fright. 他看到的情況使他有點害怕。

句中的what引導(dǎo)的是主語從句，不是定語從句。但若作進一步分析，這里的what可分解為“先行詞+關(guān)系代詞”，也就是說，what he saw可分解為the thing that he saw。又如：

They eat whatever they can find. 他們找到什么就吃什么？

句中的whatever引導(dǎo)的是賓語從句，不是定語從句。但若作進一步分析，這里的whatever可分解為“先行詞+關(guān)系代詞”，也就是說，whatever they can find 可分解為anything that they can find。再如：

Whoever wants it may have it. 誰想要它都可拿去。

句中的whoever引導(dǎo)的是主語從句，不是定語從句。但若作進一步分析，這里的whoever可分解為“先行詞+關(guān)系代詞”，也就是說，whoever wants it 可分解為anyone who wants it。
