英語表示強調的方式與句型

一、表示強調的常用方式

英語中表示強調的方式很多，如口語可用重讀來表示強調，書面語中表示強調則較多，如一個比較簡單的辦法就是在謂語動詞前加do。如：

Do try this fish. 請嘗嘗這魚。

He did like the girl. 他的確喜歡這女孩。

I do hope you'll stay for lunch. 我的確希望你留下吃午飯。

有時也可將要強調的成分置一句首。如：

This everyone must remember. 這一點每個人都得記住。

It was how the young man had learned five foreign languages that attracted the audience’s interest. 引起觀眾們興趣的是這個年輕人怎樣學會了五種外語。

It was only when I reread his poems recently that I began to appreciate their beauty. 直到當我最近重讀他的詩歌的時候，我才開始欣賞這些詩的美。
