take it that…的意思與用法

take it that...的意思是“假定……”“猜想……”“認(rèn)為……”。如：

I take it that we are to leave early. 我想我們動(dòng)身會(huì)很早的。

I take it that you won’t be working tomorrow. 我覺(jué)得你明天不會(huì)工作了。

I take it that neither of you reads ‘The Times’. 我覺(jué)得你們倆都不讀《泰晤士報(bào)》。

“I take it that you won’t be back for lunch,” she said as they left.“我想你們不會(huì)回來(lái)吃午飯了吧。”他們離開(kāi)時(shí)她說(shuō)道。

有時(shí)可以省略 that。如：

I take it you’re a friend of the Kellings, Mr Burr. 伯爾先生，想必您是凱林家的朋友吧？

另外，有時(shí)還可以單獨(dú)使用，起類(lèi)似插入語(yǔ)的作用。如：

You speak French, I take it? 我想你會(huì)說(shuō)法語(yǔ)吧？

“You’ve no objection, I take it?”“Of course not.” “我猜你不會(huì)反對(duì)吧？”“當(dāng)然不。”
