foolish, stupid與silly的用法區別與比較
1. 三者在含義上的區別:foolish 通常指無頭腦,缺乏常識或判斷力,相當漢語的“愚蠢”;stupid 指智力、理解力或學習能力很差,相當漢語的“笨”;silly 指頭腦簡單,傻頭傻腦或令人發笑,相當于漢語的“傻”。如: He is a foolish young man. 他是個愚笨的小伙子。 You were foolish to believe what he said. 你相信他的話太傻了。 We must put an end to this foolish behavior. 我們必須終止這種愚蠢的行為。 You seem even more stupid than usual today. 你今天好像比平時更加笨了。 I’m not so stupid as to put it in writing. 我不至于蠢到會把它寫下來。 Who planted such a silly idea in his mind? 是誰灌輸那樣愚蠢的思想給他? She spends her time reading silly romance. 她把時間花在閱讀傻兮兮的浪漫硅石故事上。 2. 若不考慮其含義和語氣的輕重,三者均可用于以下句型: It was foolish (stupid, silly) of her to say such a thing. =She was foolish (stupid, silly) to say such a thing. 她說出那樣的話來,真是太蠢了。 He was foolish (stupid, silly) to leave his car unlocked. = He was so foolish (stupid, silly) as to leave his car unlocked. 他真傻,車都沒有鎖。 引用地址: |
