right與rightly的用法區(qū)別與辨析

right與rightly 均可用作副詞，表示“正確(地)”，�？苫�換，只是在非正式英語中多用 right。如：

They did quite right [rightly]. 他們做得很對。

The boy answered right [rightly]. 這孩子回答對了。

注：這樣用的 right 通常只用于動(dòng)詞后，若用于動(dòng)詞前則要用rightly。如：

Everyone rightly feared the coming war. 人人都擔(dān)心戰(zhàn)爭即將爆發(fā)，這是理所當(dāng)然的。

The new law rightly emphasizes parental responsibility. 新法律合理地強(qiáng)調(diào)了父母的責(zé)任。

She rightly points to the inadequacy of the argument.  她準(zhǔn)確地指出這個(gè)論點(diǎn)的不足之處。

Doctors have rightly stressed the importance of exercise. 醫(yī)生適當(dāng)?shù)貜?qiáng)調(diào)了鍛煉的重要性。

另外，用于句首也得用 rightly。如：

另外，rightly 還可用于修飾形容詞或副詞。如：

Citizens in inner-city areas are desperately worried and rightly so. 舊城區(qū)的市民極為擔(dān)心，這不是沒有理由的。
