loan的用法與語法

1. 用作名詞，表示“借”，若指借的動作，不可數；若表示借來的東西，則可數。如：

May I have the loan of your bike? 我可以借你的自行車嗎?

I gave him the loan of my pen. 我把我的鋼筆借給了他。

The book is a loan, not a gift. 這書借給你的，不是送給你的。

表示“借錢”或“貸款”，是可數名詞。如：

He came to me for a loan of money. 他到我這兒來借錢。

用于on loan，意為“借（來）”。如：

He has my car on loan. 他借了我的汽車。

I have the book on loan from the library. 我從圖書館借了這本書。

2. 用作動詞，與 lend 同義，但更正式。兩者用法十分相似，均可后接雙賓語。如：

He loaned [lent] me 50 yuan. 他借給我50元。

Will you loan [lend] me your pen? 請你把鋼筆借給我好嗎?

若雙賓語易位，用介詞to引出間接賓語。如：

He loaned [lent] his dictionary to his friend. 他把他的詞典借給了他的朋友。

在美國英語中，loan 表示“借”或“借給”（=lend）；在英國英語中，loan 主要指正式地長期出借。如：

He loaned his collection of pictures to the National Gallery. 他將自己的藏畫長期借給國家美術館。
