    1.【湖北省8校2聯考·語法填空】Plus, I lived over two years in China before Jun and I started dating and I   69   (expect) to use chopsticks in almost every restaurant, stand and bar.

【參考譯文】此外，在跟軍戀愛以前我就在中國呆了長達兩年還多，期間，每次下館子吃小攤以及去酒吧，人們總是要我使用筷子。（原題參考答案提供譯文有誤）

【參考解析】本題答案不難，was expected。難點有兩處，一是要把時間段 + before這種結構【言時之久】的意義準確翻譯出來；二是be expected的準確含義要搞清楚，這里是“被要求去做”的意思，而不是“預計”。

2.【成都市高三1診·完形填空】 Tricia was one of the first caregivers to go on vacation. When Tricia got a call saying she was offered a free vacation, she couldn’t ___51___ it; disbelief even ___52 ___ her concern about leaving her two kids.

【參考譯文】翠西卡是首批去度假的護理員之一。當接到獲得這次免費假期之時她幾乎難以置信。這等飛來美差使其最終不惜落下兩個孩子（而決意成行）。

【參考解析】51空填believe;52空填defeated。一處難點是to go on vacation這里表達過去事件，而不是將來；再一個是最后一個分句的理解，字面意思是“難以置信的興奮感甚至戰勝了對離開孩子的擔心”。

3.【巔峰語法填空專項練習題】Push at a rate of 100 beats a minute. You can’t harm them doing this ___10___ might just save a life.

【參看譯文】保持一分鐘一百次的頻率。你這樣做不會傷害到他們，相反卻可能會挽救一條生命。

【參考解析】本題難度比較大。考查并列連詞and的特殊用法。這里and是and yet的省略式，表達強烈對比，并且呼應第一段的Too often people don’t do anything because they think they will kill the patient, but by learning simple rules you could make the difference between life and death. 本題改編自《用美國小學課本學英語》的章節。難點之處在于，易把此句看做not ... but結構。實際上此句是前后兩個情態動詞的照應：can’t不可能；might有可能。再一個因素是and與but的書寫格式問題，but除去某些特殊結構外，在連接兩個主語相同的并列分句時，主語往往不省略。

【參考解析】這段話是在為下文的海嘯到來做鋪墊。如果根據常識，海水不是要離開海岸的嗎，很容易誤選C。實際上本題選擇A。海水離開海岸，每天的自然潮汐都會有此現象發生，這與上文的“村民發現大海有所異樣”無法照應。這里的land相對應的是深海，即海水向深海遠離陸地而去，突出了海嘯到來前的的蓄勢過程。

5.【廣東深圳市2診·語法填空】Bzeek, 62, has spent the last 20 years as a foster (代養) father to children he knows are going to die, ___61___ he takes them in anyway. He has cared for the sickest of the sick in the county’s foster care system. Some have died in his arms.

【參考譯文】62歲的Bzeek領養晚期病重兒童已經20有年了，雖然明知他們會不久于世，他依然不改初心。他在縣里的領養中心照顧他們，有些孩子在他的臂彎里離世。

【參考解析】題目不難，填but/yet。難在前部分。這是一個帶有插入語因而省略作定從主語的關系代詞who的句子。特別要注意的是這個省略掉的who在完整句中的位置：Bzeek, 62, has spent the last 20 years as a foster (代養) father to children who he knows are going to die...。
