口語慣用語Excuse me的用法

1. 用來向不熟悉的人打聽情況或提出請求(其實質用法是引人注意)，意為：請問；勞駕；對不起。如：

Excuse me, is anybody sitting here? 請問，這兒有人坐嗎?

Excuse me, are these for sale? 請問，這些是要出售的嗎？

Excuse me, do you know what time it is? 對不起，請問現在幾點了？

Excuse me, miss, you’ve dropped your umbrella. 對不起，小姐，您的傘掉了。

2. 用來客氣地打斷別人的話，意為：對不起。如：

Excuse me, what you said was wrong. 對不起，你說得不對。

Excuse me, a telegram has just arrived. 對不起，剛收到一份電報。

3. 用作從別人面前經過時的禮貌用語，意為：勞駕；對不起。如：

Excuse me, could I just squeeze past? 借光，請讓我過去一下好嗎？

Excuse me, could I get past? 勞駕, 讓我過去好嗎?

He pushed his way through the crowd, saying “Excuse me”. 他一邊說著“對不起”，一邊從人群中擠過。

4. 表示中途退席或暫時告退，意為：對不起。如：

Excuse me, just a moment.  對不起，請稍候。

Excuse me a minute, I’II be right back. 對不起，我要離開一會兒，馬上就回來。

Excuse me, I must just see who’s calling. 對不起，我得去看看是誰打電話來。

5. 表示不同意或不贊成(其后常接 but 表轉折)，意為：對不起。如：

Excuse me, but you are completely wrong. 對不起, 恐怕你完全錯了。

Excuse me, sir, but you can’t park here. 先生，對不起，你不能在此停車。

Excuse me, but I don’t think the statement is true. 對不起，我覺得這個說法不合事實。

6. 表示事先對自己不禮貌的行為道歉，意為：對不起。如：

Excuse me，I need to reach over you to get the salt. 對不起，我得越過您伸手去拿點鹽。

Excuse me for not going to the door with you. 對不起, 我不送你到門口了。

7. 表示有禮貌地詢問某事或請求允許，意為：請問；對不起。如：

Excuse me, Miss Gao, what’s this in English? 高老師, 請問這個用英語怎么說?

Excuse me, but can I smoke here?  對不起, 我可以在這里抽煙嗎?

A: Excuse me, what’s the time, please?  請問什么時間了?

8. 用來代替 sorry 表示道歉(主要用于美國英語中)，意為：對不起。如：

He said “Excuse me” when he stepped on my foot. 他踩了我的腳時，說了聲“對不起”。

9. 表示不耐煩或不愿幫忙, 意為：對不起。如：

Excuse me, I’m busy.  對不起, 我正忙著呢。

Excuse me, I don’t know either. 對不起, 我也不知道。

10. 用來對有失禮儀的行為表示抱歉，如打嗝時說一聲 “Oh, excuse me”，打噴嚏時說 “Excuse me for sneezing” 等。
