基礎英語語法常見錯誤100例(1)

1. 我們大家都累了，休息一會兒怎么樣?

誤：We are all tired. How about to have a rest?

正：We are all tired. How about having a rest?

析：How about...? 在此用于征求意見，意為“……怎么樣”，其后要接動名詞(因為 about 是介詞)。

2. 我收到了他的禮物，但我沒有接受。

誤：I accepted his present but I didn’t receive it.

正：I received his present but I didn’t accept it.

析：receive只表示客觀上的“收到”，而accept則表示主觀上的“接受”。

3. 湖面結冰了，所以我們就從冰上走過。

誤：The lake was frozen, so we walked through the ice.

正：The lake was frozen, so we walked across the ice.

析：across 和 through 都可表示從一邊到另一邊的意思，但前者主要涉及平面(與on有關)，而后者則主要涉及立體空間(與 in 有關)。

4. 他不愿接受我的建議。

誤：He wouldn’t get my advice.

正：He wouldn’t take (follow, accept) my advice.

析：表示接受意見或忠告，通常用動詞 take, follow, accept, act on 等，但不能用 get。另外：提出建議或忠告，通常用動詞 give；表示向某人請教或征求意見，一般用動詞 ask (for)。

5. “你自己能修嗎?”“恐怕不行。”

誤：“Can you repair it yourself?” “I’m not afraid.”

正：“Can you repair it yourself?” “I’m afraid not.”

析：比較：I’m not afraid. 意為“我不怕”；I’m afraid not. 意為“恐怕不行”“恐怕不會”“恐怕不是”等(表示委婉的否定)。

6. 讀罷此信，他哭了。

誤：After reading the letter, tears ran down his cheeks.

正：After he read the letter, tears ran down his cheeks.

正：After reading the letter, he burst into tears.

析：after引導動名詞作狀語時，其邏輯主語應與句子主語保持一致。
