關(guān)于形式主語與形式賓語

1. 形式主語

為了保持句子平衡，通常將主語從句移至句末而在原主語位置使用形式主語it。具體說來，有以下兩種情況：對于以that引導(dǎo)的主語從句，通常用形式主語代主語從句；對于以連接代詞(副詞)引導(dǎo)的主語從句，可以使用形式主語代主語從句，也可直接在句首使用主語從句。如：

It’s a shame (that) he didn’t come. 很遺憾他沒來。

Whether it will do us harm remains to be seen.= It remains to be seen whether it will do us harm. 是否對我們有害還要看一看。

Where I spend my summer is no business of yours.= It is no business of yours where I spend my summer. 我在哪里過暑假不關(guān)你的事。

2. 形式賓語

當(dāng)賓語從句后跟有賓語補(bǔ)足語時，通常在賓語從句處使用形式賓語 it，而將真正的賓語從句移至句末。如：

He didn’t make it clear why he had left so early. 他沒有講清他為什么那么早離開。

He doesn’t want it to be known that he’s going away. 他不想讓人知道他要離開。
