通常以人作賓語的及物動詞　　

以下及物動詞通常以“人”作賓語；若用于被動語態，則其主語應是指“人”的：　　

■anger　　

His speech angered the audience. 他的講話激怒了觀眾。　　

He was angered by the selfishness of the others. 他因為別人的自私而發怒。　　

■brief　　

The company has briefed a top lawyer to defend it. 公司已將案件委托給最好的律師進行辯護。　　

The Prime Minister was fully briefed before the meeting. 首相在會議前已掌握了詳盡資料。　　

■comfort　　

We comforted her as best we could. 我們盡量安慰她。　　

The child ran to its mother to be comforted. 孩子跑到母親身邊以求得到安慰。　　

■contact　　

I’m anxious to contact your brother. 我急于和你兄弟取得聯系。　　

I’ve been trying to contact him, but l haven’t managed to. 我試圖同他聯系，但未能成功。　　

You can always contact me on 0325642. 你可以經常用0325642這個電話號碼與我聯系。　　

■frighten　　

Don’t say this. You frighten me. 別說這個了。你把我嚇了一跳。　　

The bully’s threatening remarks frightened the child. 那惡棍威脅的話把小孩嚇壞了。　　

■interest　　

This has ceased to interest me. 這不再使我感興趣。　　

His joke didn’t interest me. 他的笑話并不使我感到興趣。　　

I saw something in the paper which might interest you. 我在報上看到一樣可能使你感興趣的東西。　　

■shock　　

Her refusal shocked us to the core. 她拒絕后我們大吃一驚。　　

He shocked the whole company by resigning. 他辭職的消息全公司都感到震驚。　　

■suit　　

Would sometime next month suit you? 您看下個月什么時候合適嗎?　　

If it will suit you, I’ll change the date of our meeting. 如果對你合適，我將改變會議的日期。
