名詞survey有哪些重要用法與搭配

用作名詞的 survey 意思很多，在學習應注意以下有用搭配：　　

(1) 表“根據……調查”，通常與介詞 according to 搭配。如：　　

According to the latest surveys many Britons suffer from heart disease. 據最近調查顯示，許多英國人患心臟病。　　

According to the survey, as few as 10% of us are happy with our jobs. 據調查顯示，我們當中只有10%的人對自己的工作感到滿意。　　

(2) 表“調查表明……”“（民意）測驗表明……”，通常與動詞show, reveal, indicate等動詞搭配。如：　　

The survey revealed a wide spread of opinion. 調查結果表明各種意見差別很大。　　

Surveys have shown that more and more people are getting into debt. 調查顯示越來越多的人負債。　　

Surveys show that 75% of people approve of the new law. 民意測驗表明，75%的人贊成新頒布的法規。　　

A survey indicated that 89 per cent of people recycle paper. 一項調查顯示89%的人重復使用紙張。　　

(3) 表示若表示“進行調查（測驗）”等，可與 carry out, conduct, do, make, take, undertake 等動詞搭配。如：　　

They’re conducting a survey. 他們正在進行一項調查(www.hz123456.com)。　　

We conducted a survey of parents in the village. 我們對這個村子里的父母親作了一次調查。　　

The charity did a survey of people's attitudes to the disabled. 慈善團體就人們對殘疾人的態度進行了調查。　　

A survey carried out last year found 80% of the public in favor of the change. 去年做的一次調查發現80%的公眾支持這項改革。　　

He called me on the pretext that he was taking a survey, but he was actually selling stocks. 他打電話給我借口在作調查，但他實際上是在賣股票。　　

(4) 表示“對……調查”，其后通常接介詞 of。如：　　

survey of US businesses 對美國企業的調查(www.yywords.com) 　　

Our survey of the company showed that it was in trouble. 我們對此公司的調查表明它已經陷入困境。　　

若表示“關于……的調查”，其后則接介詞 on 或 about。如： 　　

a survey on drivers' attitudes to the police 關于司機對警察的看法的調查　　

She prepared a survey about immigration. 她設計了一個關于移民問題的民意調查。
