go to bed的bed前絕對不用冠詞嗎

針對這個問題，要弄清bed的兩個意思：一是表示“床”這種實物，看得見，摸得著，此時為可數名詞，可根據需要使用冠詞或其他限定詞；二是表示與“床”有關的活動，即“睡覺”，此時為不可數名詞，此時其前不用冠詞。如：

Church begins at 11 o’clock. 11點開始做禮拜。

The school is just past the church. 過了教堂就是學校。

He goes to the prison sometimes to give lectures. 他有時去監獄給囚犯演講。

He says he’d rather go to prison than pay the fine. 他說他寧愿蹲監獄也不肯交罰款。

注意，這類名詞前用不用冠詞有時與英美英語的表達習慣有關。如“住院”在英國英語中通常說成 in hospital，而在美國英語中則通常說成in the hospital；類似的還有go to university (英)上大學 / go to the university (美)上大學；at table (英)在吃飯 / at the table (美)在吃飯。
