名詞 personnel 的用法

1. 表示“人員”時，為總稱名詞，雖為單數形式，但表示復數意義；用作主語時，謂語要用復數。如：

Our personnel are very highly trained. 我們的人員素質很高。

Army personnel are not allowed to leave the base. 軍事人員不準離開基地。

All of that company’s personnel are pleasant to deal with. 那家公司的職員個個都很好打交道。

2. 表示“人事部門”時，為不可數名詞，且通常不連用冠詞。如：

She works in personnel. 她在人事部門工作。

See someone in personnel about insurance. 找人事部門的人了解保險事宜。

I went to personnel to ask about the company retirement program. 我去人事部詢問公司有關退休的計劃。

但若用作主語，謂語動詞可用單數或復數。如：

Personnel has [have] lost my tax forms. 人事部門把我的稅收表格弄丟了。
