3. 用作副詞，表示“百分之……地”，注意以下用法：

①用于修飾形容詞或副詞（包括其比較級）。如：

I think it is ninety per cent probable. 我想這有90%的可能性。

Salaries are from 10% to 50% higher than in Britain. 薪金比在英國高10%到15%。

②用于修飾動詞。如：

Unemployment has increased 1.5 per cent. 失業(yè)率增加了1.5%。

Prices have risen 5.5 percent in the past year. 過去一年物價(jià)上漲了5.5%。

有時(shí)修飾動詞過去分詞。如：

He was, however, not a hundred percent convinced. 但他還不是百分之百相信。

③用于修飾介詞短語。如：

The output value of chemical fertilizer in the first quarter was 18 per cent above that of the same period in 1990. 第一季度化肥總產(chǎn)量比1990年同期增長了18%。
