高考英語常考句式（03）

——however + 形容詞或副詞 + 主語 + 動詞

“however+形容詞或副詞+主語+動詞”是高考英語經常涉及的一個考點，however 的意思是“無論多么”，用以引導讓步狀語從句。如：

However much he eats, he never gets fat. 無論他吃多少, 他都不發胖。

However hot it is, he will not take off his coat. 無論多熱，他都不會脫掉外套。

He will never succeed however hard he tries. 不論他怎樣努力，都不會獲得成功。

However sly a fox may be, it is no match for a good hunter. 狐貍再狡猾也敵不過好獵手。

幾點說明：

1. 這類結構中的 however 也可換成 no matter how，但不能只換成 no matter。注意：高考命題中經常用 no matter 來設置干擾項。

2. 有時however后可以沒有形容詞或副詞，此時however 的意思是“無論用什么辦法”“不管怎樣”。如：

However you come, be sure to come early. 不管你怎么來，一定要早來。

However you travel, it’ll take you at least three days. 不管你怎么走，至少要三天。

3. 有時該結構中的主語和謂語可以有所省略。如：

He was of some help, however small. 他總能幫些忙，不管多小的忙。

I refuse, however favorable the condition. 不管條件多好，我都不接受。

第一句句末省略了 it is，第二句句末省略了 is。
