champion是“冠軍”還是“冠軍稱號”

漢語中說“冠軍”有兩層意思：一是指表示優(yōu)勝者意義的“冠軍”，即指參加比賽獲得軍詞的人或隊；二是表示“冠軍稱號”或“冠軍地位”。這兩個意思用英語來表達是有區(qū)別的。

1. 若表示參加比賽獲得冠軍的人或隊，英語用champion。 如：

The world champion is in lane four. 那個世界冠軍在第4跑道。

This last game will decide who is to be champion. 最后一局將決定誰是冠軍。

2. 若指冠軍地位或冠軍稱號，則用championship。如：

The team is going all out to win the championship. 這個隊為了爭取冠軍而全力以赴。

The two teams contending for the championship are very evenly matched. 爭奪冠軍的這兩支球隊勢均力敵。

有時champion和championship均可用，但表達方式不一樣。如：

We are the champions. 我們是冠軍(www.hz123456.com)。

The championship is ours. 我們是冠軍（即冠軍屬于我們）。
