如何用英語表示A < B

對于A < B的情形，英語可用“not so /as + 原級 + as +比較對象”句型表示。如：

It is not as hot in Beijing as in Wuhan. 北京沒有武漢熱。

He doesn’t pay as much tax as we do. 他沒我們交的稅款多。

There are not as many restaurants as there were. 現(xiàn)在餐館沒有過去多了。

另外一個(gè)辦法是采用less (…) than…句型。如：

The lessons last less than an hour. 這些課講授不到一小時(shí)。

The north is less expensive to live in than the south. 北方的生活費(fèi)用比南方低。

This word is less frequent in British English than in American English. 這個(gè)詞在英國英語里比在美國英語里少見。
