介詞后可接that引導的從句作賓語嗎

介詞后通常不能接that引導的從句，遇此情況應在介詞后加上 the fact。如：

I’m sorry for what I said. 我為我說的話表示歉意。

It all depends on when we can get the tickets. 這得看我們什么時候能拿到機票。

I often wonder about why she treated me like that. 我常常奇怪她為什么這樣待我。

他應該勇于正視自己不再年輕這一事實。

誤：He must face up to that he is no longer young.

正：He must face up to the fact that he is no longer young.

不過，表示“除……外”的介詞 except, but 后可直接跟 that 從句。如：

This dress will do except that its price is a little too high. 這連衣裙還行，只是價格貴了一點。

I would lend you the money except that I don’t have any. 我是肯借給你錢的，只是我沒有錢。

Nothing would satisfy that child but that I place her on my lap. 那孩子什么都不要，只要我把她抱在膝上。
