experience的可數與不可數問題

用作名詞，有時可數，有時不可數，注意以下幾點：

(1) 表示由實踐得來的“經驗”“體驗”等，是不可數名詞。如：

Experience is the best teacher. 經驗是最好的老師。

You will gain experience in that job. 干那個工作你會獲得經驗。

(2) 泛指一般意義的個人經歷或閱因，也是不可數名詞。如：

Experience has matured him greatly. 他經歷這些事之后已經成熟多了。

(3) 表示具體的一次經歷或體驗，為可數名詞。如：

It was a very frightening experience. 這是一段令人驚恐的經歷。

He had many interesting experiences while traveling in Africa. 他在非洲旅行時，有很多有趣的經歷。

表示做某事的經驗，其后通常不接不定式，而接 in [of] doing sth。如：

He has had many years’ experience in [of] wheat planting [planting wheat]. 他有多年種小麥的經驗。

He has had much experience in [of] this kind of work. 他有豐富的經驗做這項工作。
