哪些動詞后面可以接there to be結構

英語中能接there to be結構的動詞不多，比較常見的有believe, cause, consider, expect, hate, intend, like, love, mean, prefer, understand, want, wish等。如：

I didn’t expect there to be such a crowd.  我沒想到會那么大一群人。

Students hate there to be too much homework. 學生討厭做太多的家庭作業。

We’d prefer there to be an adult in charge. 我們寧愿有個成年人來負責。

We understood there to be money available.  我們認為有錢可用。

We don’t want there to be any misunderstandings. 我們不希望有任何誤解。

You wouldn’t like there to be another war, would you? 你不會愿意再有一次戰爭吧，是嗎?

The tree caused there to be a long shadow on the grass. 那棵樹在草地上投下長長的影子。

注：動詞let也可以用以上結構，但不定式不帶to，即用let there be這樣的形式。如：
