this和that用作副詞的相關(guān)說明

一、基本用法說明

this 和 that 均可用作程度副詞，相當于so，用來修飾形容詞或副詞。如：

1. that 用作副詞

I wasn’t that clever. 我沒有那么聰明。

It isn’t all that cold. 還沒冷到那種程度。

I can’t walk that far. 我可走不了那么遠。

I don’t want that much. 我不要那么多。

I didn’t realize she was that ill. 我沒想到她病得那么重。

Don’t exaggerate! It wasn’t that bad! 別夸張了！沒有那么差！

I can’t believe he was that good an actor. 我簡直不敢相信他是那么好的一位演員。

It’d be good to be there, but I’m not that fussed. 去那里當然好，不過我無所謂。

You’ve never paid that much attention to her opinions. 你從未如此關(guān)注過她的想法。

When you pay that much for a meal you expect the best. 一頓飯花那么多錢是想吃到最好的東西。

2. this 用作副詞

It’s about this high. 約摸這樣高。

It’s about this high. 大約有這么高。

Can you afford this much? 你花得起這么多錢嗎?

The book is about this thick. 那本書大約有這么厚。

I didn’t think we’d get this far. 我沒想到我們會走這么遠。

I didn’t think it would be this easy. 我沒想到會這樣容易。

I’ve never been out this late before. 我從來沒在外面待到這么晚。

二、用于某些固定句式

1. 用于代替“so + 形容詞 + a + 名詞”中的so

Relax, it's not that big a deal if we're five minutes late. 放松點，我們遲到5分鐘也沒什么大不了的。

2. 用于代替 so…that…中的 so。如：
