相互代詞的用法及注意點

一、相互代詞的用法

表示相互關系的代詞叫相互代詞，有each other 和one another兩組。相互代詞只能作動詞或介詞的賓語，不能作主語，因此以相互代詞為賓語的句子不能變為被動句。如：

They love each other.他們彼此相愛。

We don’t always agree with one another.我們的意見并不總是一致的。

二、使用相互代詞的5點注意

1. 不要受漢語的影響而誤認為是副詞，將其用作狀語。如不能說talk each other，而要說talk to each other。

2. 相互代詞有所有格形式。如(from www.yygrammar)：

We should point out each other’s (＝one another’s) shortcomings.我們應指出彼此的缺點。

3. 有時漢語中沒有“相互”，也用相互代詞。如：

Fifty years has passed, they are still married to each other.五十年過去了，他們仍然保持著婚姻關系。

4. 有時可以分開使用，但意義不同。如(from www.yygrammar)：

Each wished the other to answer first. 每個人都希望對方先回答。

The passengers got on the train one after another. 乘客一個接一個地上了火車。

5. 一般來說，each other指兩者；one another指多者，但在實際運用過程中，二者可互換，沒有什么區別。
