glad的基本語法與用法

1. 表示“高興的”，即指某人自己感到高興，通常只用作表語；表示因為某事而感到高興，其后通常接不定式或that-從句。如：

I am very glad to see you. 我見到您很高興。

I was glad to get your letter. 接到你的信我很高興。

I’m glad that you were able to come. 你能來我真高興。

后接不定式有時不表示原因，而表示樂意做某事。如：

I’m glad to lend you the money. 我很樂意把錢錯給你。

I’ll be glad to help you over your difficulties. 我將樂于幫助你克服困難。

2. 注意后接介詞短語的用法。如：

We’re glad of your success. 我們為你的成功而高興。

I’m glad about your passing the exam. 你考試及格了，我很高興。

3. 口語中說I’ll be glad to，表示同意或樂意接受，意為“我很樂意……”；其中的 to 不能省略。如：

A：Would you help me with this? 請你幫我做做這事好嗎?

B：I’ll be glad to. 好的（我很愿意）。

4. 表示“令人高興的”，即指某事物令某人高興，此時只能用作定語，如glad news（令人高興的消息），a glad day（令人高興的一天）等。
