考點9  考查不用冠詞的固定搭配

正如有些固定搭配必須要用冠詞一樣，有些固定搭配則必須不用冠詞，這類搭配也非常多。下面略舉幾例：

after school 放學后                           after class 下課后

go to bed 睡覺                                    in bed 躺在床上

day by day日復一日                          by chance 意外地

by mistake 無意地板                         for example例如

in case 以防萬一                               in fact 事實上

【考例】Mary has a bad cold. She has to stay in ________ bed. (湖南長沙中考題)

A. a                        B. 不填                  C. the                     D. an

【分析】答案選B。in bed為固定搭配，其意為“在床上”，其前不用冠詞。但是，若將其中的介詞in改為on，則必須要用冠詞，如說成on the bed, on a bed之類的。比較：Don’t read in bed. / Don’t read on the bed. 不要躺在床上看書。

考點10  綜合考查冠詞各種的用法

【考例1】—Excuse me, what’s in ________ box?

—There’s ________ red apple and ________ orange in it. (貴州安順中考題)

A. a; a; an             B. a; the; the         C. the; the; a         D. the; a; an

【分析】答案選D。第一空填定冠詞，表特指，即特指大家心目中都知道的那個盒子；第二空和第三空均填不定冠詞，表泛指。再根據第二、三空后的單詞讀音可知，第二空填a，第三空填an。

【考例2】—What do you usually do after school?

—We usually play ________ soccer for half ________ hour on ________ playground. (湖北隨州市中考題)

A. 不填; an; the  B. the; a; the         C. 不填; a; 不填  D. the; an; a

【分析】答案為A。第一空后的soccer表示球類運動，其前不用冠詞，故可排除B和D；第二空的hour讀音以元音開頭，故用an，故可排除C。
