考點(diǎn)3  whoever sb is 的用法

whoever sb is 的字面意思是“無(wú)論某人是誰(shuí)”。如：

Everybody who goes into this region, whoever they are, is at risk of being taken hostage. 進(jìn)入這個(gè)地區(qū)的人，不管是誰(shuí)，都有被劫為人質(zhì)的危險(xiǎn)。

另外，whoever sb is 也可用作習(xí)語(yǔ)（此時(shí)也可說(shuō)成whoever sb may be），表示“不知道某人是誰(shuí)”。如：

He says he bought the car from Frank, whoever Frank is. 他說(shuō)他是從弗蘭克那里買的車，不知道這個(gè)弗蘭克是誰(shuí)。

考點(diǎn)4  whoever引導(dǎo)從句的用法

從用法上看，whoever可用于引導(dǎo)名詞性從句和讓步狀語(yǔ)從句。如：

Whoever uprooted that tree ought to be ashamed of themselves. 把樹(shù)連根撥起的那個(gè)人應(yīng)該感到羞恥。（引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句）

Could I speak to whoever is in charge of International Sales please? 請(qǐng)找負(fù)責(zé)國(guó)際銷售的人接電話好嗎？（引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句）

Whoever wants to speak to me on the phone, tell them I’m busy. 不管誰(shuí)要我接電話，就說(shuō)我現(xiàn)在正忙著呢。（引導(dǎo)狀語(yǔ)從句）
