考點四  考查不定冠詞與序數詞連用

序數詞前原則上是用定冠詞，而不用不定冠詞。如：

He’s living in the second storey. 他住在二樓。

He was the first in his family to go to college. 他是他們家第一個上大學的人。

但是，如果是表示數量或序數的增加，則可以用不定冠詞。如：

He bought a second computer. 他又買了一臺（即第二臺）電腦。

Later she borne a third son. 后來她又生了第三個兒子。

In order to find _______ better job, she planned to learn _______ second foreign language. (江蘇蘇州中考題)

A. the; a                B. a; a                    C. the; the             D. a; the

答案為B。a better job指“一份更好的工作”，learn a second foreign language指“學習第二種外語”，即“再學一門外語”。

考點五  考查不定冠詞與專有名詞連用

專有名詞前通常不用不定冠詞，但如果專有名詞前帶有描繪性定語，表示一個具有某種特色的……，則也可以將不定冠詞與專有名詞連用。如：

We are all working hard for a new Changsha. 我們都在為建設一個新長沙而努力工作。

請看下面一道題：

We will see _______ even stronger China in _______ near future. (呼和浩特中考題)

A. a; the                B. an; the              C. the; a                 D. an; a

答案為B。an even stronger China意思是“一個更強大的中國”。
