16.【廣東梅州一模·短文改錯】I was not so much scared of the thought of camping but disappointing that I wouldn’t be able to play my Game Boy for a week.

【參考譯文】想到去宿營，我并不是那么害怕，只是感到有些失望，因為我要有一周都打不了游戲了。

【參考解析】本句有2處錯誤，一是把 of 改為 at；二是把 disappointing 改為disappointed。

much經常可以和由過去分詞轉化而來的形容詞連用表達其程度，當這些形容詞作表語時更為常見。而且此時much又常常可以和not連用構成---not...so much結構, 表達這種程度不是那么深不是那么大。

at 與下文的the thought of 形成搭配，構成時間狀語，意思是“一想起/到”。

that分句位于情感形容詞后表原因，容易誤認為與上文構成so...that 結構。

例句:

(1) I was much annoyed. 我很不高興。

(2) She wasn’t much surprised. 她并不太驚訝。

(3) He is not nearly so much interested as I thought.他幾乎不像我想的那樣有興趣。

(4) Jack was not so much interested in making money, so long as he could manage to rub along.只要日子能過得去, 杰克對掙錢并不那么感興趣。

【參考解析】本題不難，把very去掉即可。難在句子結構及句意的理解。

There is (much) more to A than B. A有比B意味更多的東西。/ A不僅僅意味著B。

There is, however, much more to a desert than sand. 不過對于沙漠而言, 其含義遠不僅僅是沙子。

There is much more to Chinese food than just taste. 中國菜講究的絕不僅僅是口味而已。

【參考解析】67 / 68 / 69 題答案提供的是 companies / felt / themselves。69 題的考查有一定難度——動名詞復合結構作介詞of的賓語。可是在教學中我們沒有見過反身代詞用作動名詞邏輯主語的情形，因此大家比較傾向于使用答案 them / their。不過在實際的使用中用反身代詞的例子還是很多的。下面兩句均來自英國的《每日郵報》：

Tourists post pictures of themselves skipping and doing HANDSTANDS around Berlin’s Holocaust Memorial.

Women of all shapes and sizes share pictures of themselves doing yoga while NAKED after being inspired by body-positive Instagram star who is famous for nude poses.

所以建議類似命題提供三個參考答案。

【參考解析】49 / 50 題提供答案均為A。like 可以后面使用反身代詞作相似比較，不管其與主語有無照應關系，此時多有強調之意。不過這里的 B 答案也不能說錯，只是這里不及反身代詞自然流暢。有些據此文改進之后的版本就刪去了 her 選項，個人認為不失明智之舉。

He wanted his sons to become strong, virile, and athletic like himself.  他希望他的兒子們能長得像他一樣強壯、陽剛而又健美。（跟主語有照應關系）

The photo is not quite like yourself. 這張照片不大像你本人。（跟主語無照應關系）

There's no work and no future for students like himself.  像他這樣的學生既找不到工作，也看不到前途。（跟主語無照應關系）

I am someone else when I'm with you, someone more like myself. (Original Sin) 當我與你相處時，我變成了另外一個人，一個更像我自己的人。（《原罪》）（跟主語有照應關系）

【參考解析】本題參考答案給的是C，我覺得本題欠妥。原本這句話是很好的命題素材，可以考查“文字材料的說與寫的常見表達”，此時 write 是個很好的干擾項。所以應該把C選項改為says或者reads。convey既不能表達文字材料的說和寫，也通常不用做直接引語的引述動詞。本題來源原文使用的是 says, 而 convey 通常不用作直接引語的引述動詞。經典例題：

There is a board by the road, which ______ “Parking ______!”
