A Grammar of Contemporary English P835: He enjoys visiting (﹡to visit ) his mother-in-law. 2. E. Eckersley J. M. Eckersley A Comprehensive English Grammar,L. G . A Grammar of Contemporary English第835頁認為只接 –ing形式。 She would greatly enjoy to dance at the ball once more. —The Oxford English Dictionary 1. The Oxford English Dictionary (OED CD V3):b. with inf. as obj. colloq. or vulgar. 1864 Realm 22 June 3 She would greatly enjoy to dance at a ball once more. 2. GVR It remains to be seen whether this new power will be used in such a way as to augment the existing powers that the police enjoy to give directions to prevent the occurrence of a breach of the peace. J78 …; they may have to forgo some of the comparative freedom they enjoy to publish facts and opinions which are not. HH2 Such restrictions would remove any rights GPs currently enjoy to choose where to refer their patients. JYF "I can walk," she began, and might have added that she would have enjoyed to do that --; had she got the chance.
