諸如website, online, download, file, access這樣的詞匯你熟悉嗎？假若它們出現(xiàn)在聽(tīng)力材料中你能聽(tīng)懂嗎？如果不熟悉，你就 out 了！下面這段文字摘自2010年湖北高考英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力考試的最后一段材料，其中就出現(xiàn)了不少像上面提到的計(jì)算機(jī)詞匯：

其中的一道聽(tīng)力測(cè)試題是這樣的（答案是A）：

How can a learner take the lessons when he is not online?

A. By using the downloaded sound files.

B. By making conversations with others.

C. By reviewing words, phrases and idioms.

除了聽(tīng)力外，其他的題型，如單項(xiàng)填空、完形填空、閱讀理解、書(shū)面表達(dá)等，更是經(jīng)常涉及計(jì)算機(jī)方面的詞匯，這其中有些詞匯是屬于計(jì)算機(jī)專用詞匯（如modem, reboot等），而有些詞匯則是普通詞匯引申出了專用于計(jì)算機(jī)的新詞義（如click, save等），但遺憾的是，這些詞匯我們?cè)谝话愕闹袑W(xué)英語(yǔ)詞典中很難查到，有些詞匯就是在《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》第四版也查不到，因?yàn)檫@些詞匯太“新”了，有好多詞典都還來(lái)不及收錄，但它們卻已經(jīng)出現(xiàn)在我們的高考試題中了。為幫助同學(xué)們搞好這類詞匯的復(fù)習(xí)，我們特查閱了最新出版的《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》第六版和《朗文當(dāng)代高級(jí)英語(yǔ)詞典》第四版，對(duì)涉及計(jì)算機(jī)的一些常用詞匯進(jìn)行了一次全面的整理和歸納，希望對(duì)大家的學(xué)習(xí)有所幫助。

1. access

access 本是名詞，意思是“接近”“進(jìn)入”“通道”等。如：

The village is easy (difficult) of access. 到那個(gè)村子的路很容易(很難)走。

Only high officials had access to the president. 只有高級(jí)官員才可以接近總統(tǒng)。

The only access to their house is along that narrow road. 只有沿著那條狹窄的路走才能到達(dá)他們的房子。

但現(xiàn)在access也可用作動(dòng)詞，表示“存取(計(jì)算機(jī)文件)”。如：

The files were accessed every day to keep them up to date. 文件每日存取，使之不斷更新。

2. button

button 本指衣服的“鈕扣”，或是門(mén)鈴或電器開(kāi)關(guān)的“按鈕”，在計(jì)算機(jī)語(yǔ)言中指“按鍵”。如：

Click on the left mouse button. 單擊鼠標(biāo)左鍵。

Choose “printer” from the menu and click with the right mouse button. 從菜單上選取“打印機(jī)”，然后點(diǎn)擊鼠標(biāo)右鍵。
